লোকেরা প্রায়ই তাদের সন্তান নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্তকে ন্যায়সঙ্গত করতে খুশি হয়ে বলে যে, তাদের সন্তানেরা একদিন বিশ্বকে আরও মানবিক স্থান করে তুলবে।

যাইহোক, যেসকল মা-বাবা এই ধরনের কথা বলেন তাদের (অসুস্থ পৃথিবীতে নতুন শিশু জন্ম দেবার আগে) নিজেকে প্রশ্ন করা উচিৎ, তারা নিজেরাই এবং তাদের পূর্বপুরুষেরা কেনো বিশ্বকে বসবাস উপযোগী করতে পারেনি?

People are often happy to justify their decision to have children, by saying 

that their children will help to finally make the world a more humane 

place. However, parents that say these sorts of things should ask 

themselves why the task of improving the world was not already completed by their ancestors or even by themselves before they choose to 

bring children into this ill-suited world.
